  De TouchMix-16 kan volledig stand-alone worden gebruikt: er is geen computer, monitor of andere externe apparatuur nodig. Het grote kleurendisplay wordt gecombineerd met fysieke rotary's en knoppen. Het is zelfs mogelijk de Remote Control App voor iOS te gebruiken (tot wel 12 iOS devices tegelijkertijd!). De inbegrepen USB Wi-Fi adapter verzorgt de koppeling tussen TouchMix-16 en uw mobiele apparaat. Live-opnames zijn, maximaal 22 tracks simultaan (via USB 3.0), weg te schrijven op een externe harde schijf, in 32-bit broadcast wave-formaat.
