De Reloop BeatPad 2 is een professionele en betrouwbare cross-platform DJ controller die alle functies van de bekroonde Algoriddm DJAY 2 DJ-software kan aansturen. Het ontwerp is gebaseerd op de originele BeatPad, een betaalbare, degelijke en professionele DJ-controller voor DJ’s die een tablet gebruiken. De BeatPad 2 werkt plug-and-play op zowel iOS als Android apparaten samen met DJAY2 en met DJAY Pro op de Mac. De controller wordt overigens geleverd inclusief USB-, Apple Lightning- en Android OTG-kabels.

Ten opzichte van de vorige versie vallen de acht aanslaggevoelige drumpads met RGB verlichting op. Deze heeft 4 nieuwe remix-mogelijkheden: slicer, loop, sampler en dynamic Multi-FX. De RGB-verlichting geeft precies weer welke modus geactiveerd is, zodat de gebruiker precies weet wat hij doet. Passend bij de kleuren van de software, kunnen 8 cue punten en 6 samples per deck direct worden geactiveerd vanaf de BeatPad 2.

Met Auto-Loop is het mogelijk om een geautomatiseerde loop in 8 verschillende lengtes te activeren via de pads. Bounce Loop activeert 8 verschillende looprolls met een druk op een knop. De Touch FX- en Jog FX-modus zijn twee nieuwe, creatieve opties voor het realtime bewerken van een track middels de uitgebreide effecten sectie. In Touch FX-modus zijn in totaal 8 verschillende FX presets te activeren via de drumpads. De intensiteit van het effect wordt beïnvloed door de kracht waarmee op de pad wordt gedrukt. De Jog FX-modus biedt de mogelijkheid om twee effecten via het jogweheel zeer nauwkeurig te moduleren. Pulserende multi-color LED's aan de rand van de jogwheels geven visuele feedback over effect selectie en parameter aanpassingen. De BeatPad 2 is de eerste controller op de markt die rechtstreeks de Slice en Slice Loop modi van DJAY2 kan bedienen. In Slicer-modus wordt de track verdeeld in korte segmenten voor het creëren van een remix on-the-fly.

Dankzij de Algoriddim's DJAY 2.5-update zijn alle nummers binnen handbereik vanwege de integratie van Spotify. Dit maakt een grote opslag drive en eindeloos getweak aan je database overbodig. Ook de aansluitingen zijn goed doordacht, zo bevat de Beatpad 2 twee hoofdtelefoon aansluitingen aan de voorzijde, twee master uitgangen (XLR en RCA) en zelfs een aux-ingang voor aansluiten van een iPod, cd-speler of draaitafel op de achterkant van het apparaat.
