De PRE-202 is een tweekanaals oplossing voor microfoons die een hoogwaardige voorversterker met weinig reis met een 48 volt fantoomvoeding combineert. Het is uitgerust met versterkingsinstellingen en een low-cut-functie die helpt bij het elimineren van ongewenste podiumgeluiden. De 48 volt fantoomvoeding kan vrijwel elke condensatormicrofoon voeden. De PRE-202 is de ideale oplossing voor toepassingen waarbij het gebruik van normale of condensatormicrofoons gewenst is en het audiosysteem geen fantoomvoeding op de microfooninputs levert of helemaal geen microfooninputs heeft.
